Toshiba said it had recently developed a memory chip NAND flash used in the world's first semiconductor technology 15nm . Each chip like this 128GB, 16GB equivalent, and each of the memory cells it contains 2-bit data. Toshiba adds 15nm NAND flash memory that is small in size compared with the current 19nm while achieving the same write speed (how much is unclear) and energy consumption is lower. Transmission bandwidth is also increased to 533Mbps, 1.3 times faster than before "by introducing new high-speed communication." Toshiba's 15nm chips will appear in smartphones, tablets and even drive SSD . The mass production is expected to begin later this month. parallel, Toshiba is also working on the production line applicable for 15mm chips with 3-bits of data in each cell. This series promises to bring in high memory capacity up to more mobile devices. The company is expected to mass-produce memory chips in June this year. Toshiba also promises to develop controllers for use with this product.
